| Lower Case Last Name | Out of Town
Entries | Repeating Information |
| Printing Envelopes | Professional Wife | Unmarried
Couple |
1. What if the couple is living together and not married?
Proper etiquette states that two persons over 18 living in the same
house should receive separate invitations. The second option is
enter Miss in female salutation and female name, then put Mr. (Full
name) in the first address field, and finally the address in the
second address field. Ladies are always first. Then go to the Envelope
tab and add his name to the inside envelope.
2. What if the lady is divorced?
She would be addressed as ex. Mrs. Paula William Few. Ms.
is used in a business setting.
3. What if the last name starts in lower
case, ex. van Hausen?
Option 1: Enter a space and then "van Dyke" Delete the
space and "van Dyke" will remain without the automatic
capitalization
Option 2: Go to envelope tab. Edit the outside envelope
and the inside envelope. Please do NOT refresh. This button will
adjust it back to original
Option 3: Add van after the middle name and put Hausen in the last
name field.
4. What if the wife is the professional?
It is always proper to address her as Mrs., but the program will
do the proper etiquette. Then her full name is required in the Spouses
name field.
5. I am entering a lot of names from the same
city, can the program automatically fill in the name?
No, but you can highlight the city name,
hold down the control key and then the C key. This copies
the name. The next time you arrive at that field, hold down the
control key and then the V key. This pastes the name.
6. I am having trouble printing
my envelopes. What can I do?
I usually start by measuring the envelope
and putting the numbers in the envelope size, top margin at 2.00
and left margin at 2.00. Also choose whether it is a left or right
feed printer. I print on paper and then compare the position to
my envelope. I start adjusting at this point by increasing or decreasing
the margins. If I am still having problems, I increase the envelope
size. I cut paper the size of my envelope and continue to adjust
the numbers.
7. My daughter is
living in another city, how can she enter her names in the program?
The web-based feature is designed
for this purpose.
8. I have entered
a lot of names into Microsoft Excel. How can I get these names into
the program?
Enter one name into the RSVP Program.
Export this name to a txt file. Open this file in Microsoft Excel.
This displays the fields as they will be recognized in the RSVP
Program. Simply cut and paste your names into this file. Be sure
to fill out all of the true/false fields.
